Option 1: ADULTS (Introduction)
This 30-minute introductory presentation followed by a Q/A session covers the "current" thinking regarding integrating positive coaching and parenting into competitive teams. Coaches will learn methods used by successful teams to minimize conflicts with parents and game officials while, at the same time, increasing the results of team training. Parents will learn to recognize common pitfalls of youth sports and how to respond positively in their relationships with their children, coaches, and game officials. Not a discussion of what skills to coach or drills/games to use. Handouts are provided.

Option 2: ADULTS
A fun, comedy-based, interactive 90-minute proactive seminar for parents and team officials covering (1) the value of keeping children in youth sports, (2) the reasons that children like youth sports, and (3) the reasons that children leave youth sports. Includes a grade-yourself (and keep-it-yourself) evaluation, examples of excellent coaching/parenting techniques, and sample chants and cheers. Includes some role-playing. Can be adapted for multi-session presentation and certification-credit use.
Option
3: PLAYERS
A motivational, but down-to-earth 90-minute reality check for soon-to-be-adults who are currently learning how to do "it" from television. Includes (1) how to get respect in an adult world, (2) how to speed up getting to "Mature", and (3) the secret to success in the real world. Covers why teens feel and act the way they do, how to recognize what's happening, and how to defuse yourself. Includes role-playing instruction. Can be adapted to "traffic school" format for frequent offenders.
