SAYSO will help you get plugged in. Soccer on the northern and central parts of the San Francisco Peninsula is fractionated and disjointed. You can read some background here, but basically, all you need is to be pointed towards some local soccer organizations. We've provided lists of the local leagues and clubs on this website if you want to do all of the research yourself. However, the city names may not yet be familiar to you. For example, is Santa Clara closer to Santa Barbara, San Bruno, or San Jose? Since it is NOT necessary (and, it may not even be possible) for you to play for the club or league in or nearest your city of residency, the SAYSO office staff can give you guidance in a few minutes that will save you hours (and, days) of looking in the wrong places.
