Some people call them 'physios', and others call them 'trainers'. Sometimes they are referred to as 'sports medicine practitioners', 'physical therapists', or 'team nurses'. These are the people who provide medical care in order to rehabilitate and return high-achieving athletes to full activity in the shortest period of time. All professional soccer teams and clubs have a person with one of these titles. Now, your youth team or club can, as well.

Who Should Attend

Coaches, managers, and parents who are first to see injured players on the field, who attend to players on the sidelines, and who monitor those players at future events.

Anyone who may have to 'patch up' a soccer player during or after a practice, game, or tournament

Instructors of coaching certification courses

Team, club, league, and tournament officials

Referees who may need to take care of themselves while officiating

Athletes who manage their own well-being

Parents of young athletes
