Silent Sunday Agreement

I promise that while watching my child participate in SAYSO play days, games, and practices, I will not do any of the following:

- Use tobacco products on the field

    - Drink alcoholic beverages on the field

    - Coach my child or any other players from the sidelines

    - Voice critical or negative comments directed at any adult or child during play

    - Criticize, question, or berate the referees during or after play

Although I promise to refrain from telling others what to do at any particular moment (e.g., “Kick the ball!” "Left foot!", or "Pass to Johnny!"), I understand that I may (and, am encouraged to) voice encouragement to the entire team (e.g., “Go, Gryphons!” or "Well done! Awesome!".) I may also participate in positive cheers that originate from the boosters/rooters side of the field.

I also understand that dogs - with or without leashes - are prohibited on the fields during league games and practices.

As a guest of the school or park where we are practicing and playing games, I understand it is each person’s responsibility to make sure that no trash is left behind and that no damage is done to the team’s, school’s, or city’s property.

If I am not able to fulfill these promises, I agree to remove myself from the vicinity of the activity, either voluntarily or when asked by a referee, another parent, field marshal, or a SAYSO representative.

These promises apply to all seven days in the week, may not be revoked, and remain in effect as long as my child participates in SAYSO activities.

I make these promises voluntarily for the benefit of my relationship with my child, for the support and development of the team, and for the good of the game.
